Biography of Michael Gaskell
Michael Gaskell is a British Artist
Born in 1963, Michael's work has been the subject of five solo shows in London. He has won a number of prizes in national painting competitions and has been on the shortlist of the BP portrait award at The National Portrait Gallery on eight occasions, winning second prize in 2003, 2009, 2010 and 2015. His work is represented in the collections of The National Portrait Gallery, The Scottish National Portrait Gallery, Gonville & Caius College Cambridge, Christ's College Cambridge, The Royal Overseas League and The Cartin Collection as well as in private collections in the UK, Europe, Asia and the USA.
